mdobe FOR CHROME

Your screen,
your control.

mdobe shares a screen source chosen by the agent through WebRTC. Clients open a private link in their browser.

You choose what to share

The side panel and capture controls run from the extension's installed files. Before sharing, choose Browser tab, Program window or Full screen, then select Share and authorize a source in Chrome's chooser. While sharing, a source shortcut opens the chooser to switch sources. The preview shows your selection. Switching keeps the same client link. The camera is optional and requires your authorization when you choose Turn camera on; the microphone stays off. Before sharing, the camera preview is visible only to you. It is sent to your client when you start sharing. Turn camera off stops the camera tracks. Pause hides your shared screen and camera. The extension does not record sessions.

Your account

A tab at mdobe.com/extension-connect uses your existing session for account access, presentations, signaling, invitations, private notes, meetings and supervisor invitations. Authentication cookies are HttpOnly and are not read or stored by the extension. Your profile name may identify presentations and invitations.

Temporary identifiers

Chrome session storage holds the identifiers of the panel's browser window, account connection tab and active room. They let the extension reuse the studio and end the presentation when it closes. Screen images, passwords and recipients are not stored there.

Connecting with your client

Your screen is transmitted over encrypted WebRTC. STUN or TURN servers may receive network information needed to establish or relay the connection. mdobe coordinates access and signaling. This feature does not upload a continuous screen recording to the database.

Phone, email and link

Copying a link works independently of messaging providers. SMS and direct email delivery remain unavailable until the relevant services are authorized and connected. Phone and email fields start empty. Typing alone never sends. Pressing Enter or Send requests an invitation; SMS also opens a separate confirmation where the agent confirms the client's permission before choosing Confirm & send. When delivery is enabled, the provider receives the recipient's phone number or email, the message and its private link. Copy puts the link on your clipboard; you decide where to paste it. The link contains an access key and should be shared only with the intended viewer.

Send Keypad

This button opens a keypad on the client's screen for entering a numeric response. The value is transmitted only when the client chooses Send, through the encrypted WebRTC data channel between the browsers. It is not added to extension logs, history or storage. The response is hidden by default, can be revealed for ten seconds and is cleared after sixty seconds, on deletion, pause, disconnection or session end. Requests are unavailable while paused or disconnected. These controls do not prevent external screenshots or recordings.

Notes and meetings

Notes and meeting titles, dates, durations and time zones are stored in your signed-in account, not Chrome session storage. You can edit or delete them in Notes and Meetings in the extension or web workspace. They are not sent to the client or supervisor connection. Anything you visibly open in a captured full screen or window can still be shared, including notes. Do not store medical records, passwords or sensitive identity information here.

Add to calendar creates a downloadable .ics event. It does not send invitations, synchronize a calendar, or embed a private client link.

Setter mode

A supervisor invitation uses a separate private key and is bound to the account email you choose. The client must allow access, and the invited supervisor must sign in. The supervisor receives only the shared video and enabled agent camera; the private keypad channel and account notes are excluded. You or the client can remove permission. The invitation expires when the presentation ends.

Client notifications

Opening the link is distinct from confirming playback on a visible page. Panel alerts, sound and Chrome notifications describe those browser signals; they do not measure the person's attention. Notifications do not include the private link, phone number, email or keypad response. You can mute the panel sound and manage notifications in Chrome or your operating system.

Stopping and closing

Stopping or closing the panel ends capture and requests room closure. A lost connection may delay server confirmation. The service's history may retain session metadata as described in mdobe's general privacy policy.

Permissions

sidePanel displays the studio beside the current page. storage keeps temporary identifiers. notifications displays an alert when the client's browser confirms screen playback. The connection script runs only on mdobe's dedicated page and does not inspect third-party pages or browsing history. An external page can appear in the presentation if you choose it as a source.

Use of information

This version includes no advertising or advertising tracking. Information is used for access, subscriptions, presentations, invitations and support. Additional features in the full web studio have their own interfaces and are described in the general privacy policy.

You can revoke permissions or uninstall the extension in Chrome. For account support, open My workspace → Live help at mdobe.com.

SMS invitation confirmation

Before sending one SMS invitation, the agent must confirm the client agreed during the current call. The client does not sign a form. The server records the agent attestation, script version, time, destination hash and delivery reference, separately from short-lived dispatch metadata. These records expire after 730 days and are removed during later invitation processing. This feature does not record call audio. SMS remains unavailable until the provider and the sending service are approved and connected. See the SMS Privacy Policy and SMS Terms.
